Answer:

Percy — Horse for Sale in Boxborough, MA
Bay Thoroughbred Gelding

Go look at this horse. Ride him. See that he does ALL of the things his ad says he does. Either offer them the $3000.00 that you do have or tell them that you will have to think about it then Go away. Then call them a day or two later and ask them if they would take $3000.00 because that is at the your top budget and just see what they say. You can then haggle them to the $3500.00 that is your absolute top of your budget.

All they can say is no.....or yes....Percy, IMO is a better looking conformation wise than the other two and he certainly seems to have a great disposition.

IF you want to jump I would be very wary of the mare with suspensory ligament problems completely healed or not. And the other gelding seems to want to "try" you all of the time which can be a total pain in the rears.

Right now in the Idaho area because of the nonsense with PETA & the wackos shutting down the oh so controversial slaughter houses, horses are a dime a dozen. Well maybe not quite that low but $2.00 (that is two dollars for unbroke BLM horses) to $10.00 for decent registered using horses that are sound is almost give away prices.

What people don't seem to realize is that the horse slaughter market (good, bad, or indifferent) regulates the rest of the industry and prices.

Very soon here in the next year or so you will see more horses being dumped out on to Public Lands and there is nothing wrong with them it is just that the owners are not going to be able to afford to keep them.

And if there is something wrong with them that warrants putting them down there isn't going to be anywhere to take them after they are euthanized other than having them cremated or buried in a cemetery.

I have given away 2 horses this year. One was a cryptorcid and would require surgery to fix and I didn't want to spend the $600.00 it would have taken to fix him when you can't even get that much for yearlings right now. And the other well....I don't know what happened but she turned out to be (11 hands) small and just plain ugly. But I found a good home for her. She turned out to be that mares last foal (she died shortly after that). Soemtimes you just don't know why somethings come out the way that they do.

Ok off my rant......Percy....I like him. Go see him.
