French Riding Vacations
What greater way to truly enjoy a region that to savour its wine as you experience its countryside from horseback. If you select a riding vacation through the trails in Bordeaux, this is exactly what you will find, all from the comfort of a Wintec 2000 saddle. This region is accountable for a number of the more famous French wines from the Gironde region including Lalande and Bordeaux Superior.
Gironde has some of the top riding landscape with rolling hills, sweeping beaches and lush countryside, as well as the wide range of vineyards. With vast areas relatively unspoilt, this is a restful environment. Testing the wine of the area on your travels. In addition to vineyards, there are significant country houses with significant gardens to search.
The horses to select here are of assorted breed but with variety to suit all skill levels. Staying in regional hotels, B&B's or farm houses will afford you a sense for being in the community.
The valley of the Loire
Handsome chateaux line the banks of the Loire River along the Loire Valley which is abundantly endowed with rolling hills, sunflower fields, forests and vineyards. In this environment it won't take long to unwind and forget about the fast paced life you left behind you at the start of the trip.
There are many smaller chateaux in this area that extend wine tasting, though not all do. The Châteaux de Menetou-salon is one such example that regrettably does not, but as you pass by it is certainly worth stopping to admire the architecture. Coming across the castle La Verrerie as the sun gets low in the sky is a sight that will make the route worth it. A excellent place to rest and stretch you legs having been sat for sometime in your Wintec saddles is by the fort at La Chappelle d'Angillon.
Inn to Inn - Provence

This wonderful experience is helped along by an English speaking handler to show you the top of the region using a selection of regional horses for a variety of capability level. In the days close after the saddle review there will be good food and comfy beds to get ready for for the following day.
