Frequently Asked Questions...
What should i buy for riding?
I'm going to a tack shop tomorrow and i need to know what to buy. How many pairs of breeches should i get if i have a lesson once a week? What colors (i'm a 13 year old girl)? Also, do you have any recommendations for synthetic paddock boots and half chaps? Should i get brown or black boots and chaps? Should i buy gloves for winter riding? What type? What brand of (somewhat cheap) helmet would you recommend?
Answer:
If you're riding once a week, you really don't need more than one pair of breeches but its up to you. If you're willing to buy a few pairs then thats great! You can get them in whatever colors you want, although I recommend having at least one beige pair. The rest its up to you .
the color of your paddock boots and chaps is a personal preference. Both are accepted at local shows, so it doesn't matter. I personally prefer black, but thats just me.
Ariats are great boots. Like these:

I have those in black. They're very comfy, and look good and are durable. I can't tell you how many times they've been crushed by my horse's feet. But they survive! haha.
Half chaps:

I have those in black as well. They're very comfy, very durable and do their job very well. They're reasonably priced too!
I have gloves that I wear all the time. Even during the summer. Gloves are meant to keep the reins from slipping through your fingers, and keep the reins from digging into your fingers. Gloves are really important for me. But again, its a personal preference. Not everyone likes gloves.

I have those for both showing and schooling.
They look blue in the pic but they're actually black. They're so durable. Every other pair of gloves I've had, got holes so fast, but I've had these for over a year now, and no holes yet!!! haha.
Troxel is a great helmet brand. They make very safe helmets.

I have that one in black. Its really comfy and has a dial so you can loosen it during the winter and wear a hat or earband under it. Its a great helmet. I really like it.
If you have any more questions you can message me.
Hope I helped! Best of luck!

P.S. I just went on a horse shopping spree too! haha. FUN! But not for the same stuff.
